Motorized switch machines come in two varieties, stall-motor and end-switch. With the end-switch type, a switch changes position
when the motor reaches the end of its travel. This end switch cuts off current in one direction and permits flow in the other direction. These switch machines
can be controlled by a simple two-way switch. Examples are the MB1 and MB4 from the MTB company - see below.
This module replaces that switch and you can then use Wi-Fi or push-buttons to control up to eight of this type of swicth machine in many different ways

Please note that the switch machines shown are for guidance only. No switch machines are included with this product. You can purchase third-party made switch machines from your dealer.
This module provides Wi-Fi, DCC or push-button control of eight end-switch motor switch machines such as the popular MB1 and MB4 switch machines from MTB.
There are many ways to operate the turnouts controlled by the WFS-84.
The simplest is to connect a browser to the WFS-84 web pages and operate the turnouts by tapping buttons on the web page. You'll probably use this for initial checkout.
Or you can connect push-buttons to toggle each of the connected turnouts.
But to make best use of one or more WFS-84 you have two alternatives. You can connect a DCC Command Station/Booster to the DCC inputs of a set of WFS-84 and control them centrally. Or you can use a Wifitrax WFD-60 Wi-Fi and DCC Gateway. This device discovers and controls a set of
WFS-84 (or other Wifitrax WFS series) to provide centalized control. The WFD-60 provides a WiThrottle server so that you can use an app such as Engine Driver or WiThrottle or a device
like TCS UWT-100/50 to control turnouts. You'll likely use this method if you are using a WFD-60 to control large-scale locomotives.
The WFD-60 also provides a DCC input, so you can use an existing DCC Command Station/Booster to control your turnouts by simple connecting its Track DCC output to the WFD-60 DCC input
But that's not all. The WFD-60 also provides its own set of customizeable schematic panels so that you can build a schematic diagram of all or part of your layout and control
your turnouts by clicking or tapping on the turnout image in the panel.

or Full Manual
to see diagrams of typical usage.
The WFS-84 can operate end-switch motor machines only. It has its own DCC input, push-button inputs or can use a WFD-60 to accept DCC for a collection of WFS-84 modules.
